Mayday Music Festival
Branding for a union-hosted music festival on Long Island, designed to blend labor pride with broad public appeal. The client asked for an identity that felt bold, family-friendly, energetic, and grounded in the park’s wooded setting.
The final design combines strong typography with retro-inspired graphics (a raised mic and pine tree silhouettes) nodding to both grassroots activism and the natural atmosphere of the event. A badge-style logo, event poster, and responsive website brought the festival to life across print and digital platforms.
The challenge: to reflect the values of collective power without alienating potential attendees—balancing bold messaging with broad appeal.
